The Second University of Naples, Italy and the Yildiz Technical University of Istanbul, Turkey activate a joint didactic experience with a Master for Experts in Acoustics and Noise Control in Mediterranean Countries.

The Master programme is one year long (2006 - 2007) and correspondent to 60 ECTS (1500 hours).

A maximum number of 12 students with bachelor in Architecture or Engineering is allowed.

It is expected a number of 6 students from Italy or EU Countries and 6 students from Turkey.

At the end of the MASTER, it is issued a double academic degree:

-Acoustics and Noise Control in Mediterranean Countries issued by the Second University of Naples, Italy

-Building Physics ( Acoustics and Noise Control in Mediterranean Countries) issued by the Yildiz Technical University Turkey.

All lectures will be in English language.

The didactic activity will be based on lectures, laboratory exercises, workshops, conferences, individual research and study with the aim to reach the maximum integration between students, professors and researchers from both Universities.

Lectures will be taken by professors and researchers of the both Universities and by international experts.

The didactic year (38 weeks, 1500 hours) will be divided in academic periods with the following programme:

-frontal lectures, practise and agreed didactic period (exercises, projects, field measurements, workshops) ( 24 weeks, 12 in Italy and 12 in Turkey )

- individual study period (6 weeks)

-stage period in a firm or research institute and final project (8 weeks)

The participation fee is 1500 euro.

Italian or EU and Turkish students will be economically supported for their permanence abroad.

The economic support will be of 1200 Euro per month for maximum 4 months.
